Basic Brown Rice

Makes 3 Cups

  • 2 cups water
  • 1 cup brown rice
  • 1 teaspoon sea salt
  • 1 strand kombu, or several strands wakame

Bring the water to boil, and add the brown rice and sea salt or sea vegetable.

Return to a boil, lower the heat to a gentle simmer, cover, and cook for 45 minutes.
